In the evening, on my way home from work, vanilla clouds hung in the sky, and the sky itself became vanilla from them, transforming the trees into fantastical creatures a la Avatar. I looked down the road and up at the sky, and it was like two different worlds separated by a line, with the vanilla sky and vanilla clouds looking much more real to me than the reality below with cars, people, and buildings. I felt the color, texture, and featheriness of the clouds in almost every cell. It was insanely beautiful, without pausing for photos and stories, so realistically real, and so profound. Beauty that is not visible. Beauty can jolt us awake. Beauty is easily accessible to the eyes and soul. Is it, however, available to us?
