Framing Your Inner Resources

What if a simple drawing could help you feel stronger, calmer, or more focused?

This creative exercise is more than just art— it’s a tool to connect with your inner strength and grow the emotion you need most.

Strengthen the Emotion You Need Right Now

A gentle creative technique to help you focus on what you want to feel - and grow it from within.

What emotion do you want to feel more of? Calm? Confidence? Joy? Trust?

Grab a sheet of paper and draw two simple frames—one inside the other. (see an example on the next slide)

You're about to turn a blank page into a powerful reminder of your own strength.

Step 1 - The Inner Frame

Inside the smaller frame, express the emotion you want to grow in yourself.

You can write a word, draw a symbol, or even use colors or images.

It's your emotional center-your anchor.

Step 2 - The Outer Frame

Around that emotion, in the larger frame, draw or write everything that will help you support it.

These can be:

  • Physical actions (like movement or rest)
  • Emotional practices (like self-compassion)
  • Intellectual tools (like journaling or affirmations)
  • Support from others

Think of this frame as a motivational map—a space where energy flows toward your goal.

Why it works:

To activate your creativity and inner strengths, you need more support, not more self-criticism.

The more you visualize, name, and plan, the more you connect to your real potential.

Final step - Integrate it

Write a short personal declaration (up to 10 sentences) starting with:

"From this moment on, I allow myself to..."

Let your inner voice speak freely. Read it out loud.

You may be surprised how strong it sounds.

This practice helps you:

  • Build emotional focus
  • Strengthen self-trust
  • Set clear inner direction
  • Boost your ability to follow through
